Resolving Parent Concerns

Edgewood Independent School District (EISD) is committed to fostering strong partnerships with families by ensuring that parent concerns are addressed promptly and effectively. To support this goal, EISD has outlined a clear, step-by-step process for resolving complaints and concerns.

Before initiating a resolution, parents are encouraged to:

  • Identify the issue clearly

  • Research the problem

  • Organize relevant details

The general process begins with contacting the appropriate campus staff member, followed by escalation to the Campus Administrator, who oversees school operations. If further support is needed, parents may reach out to the Office of School Leadership.

EISD also provides topic-specific guidance for concerns related to:

  • Academics

  • Athletics

  • Attendance

  • Classroom issues

  • Bullying/Harassment

  • Safety and Security

Each category includes recommended first points of contact—such as the teacher, coach, or school counselor—and, for urgent matters, emergency contact information for local law enforcement.

This structured approach ensures that every concern is met with care, clarity, and accountability. For more details, watch the video below.
