Talented students from the Edgewood Fine Arts Academy showcased their musical excellence and earned top honors at the prestigious UIL Texas State Solo & Ensemble Contest.
A number of vocalists achieved the highest distinction with Division 1 ratings in Solo Voice performance. The honorees from FAA include Fabiola Farias, Beatrice Garcia, Yariangeliz Acosta, Carely Hernandez, and Samantha Torres.

In addition to solo success, the Treble Small Ensemble—featuring Yariangeliz Acosta, Carely Hernandez, Samantha Torres, and Nathalia Luna—also earned a Division 1 rating, demonstrating exceptional teamwork, musicianship, and artistry.
Esther Contreras was also recognized for her performance in Solo Piano, earning a Division 2 rating—a commendable accomplishment at the state level.

Participation in the UIL State Solo & Ensemble Contest represents a significant achievement on its own, requiring months of preparation, dedication, and discipline. These students not only rose to the challenge but also delivered performances that reflect their commitment to excellence.
"This competition is one of the most rigorous ones we compete in," says choir director Dr. Andrea Padilla. "I am very proud of their hard work and dedication. To compete at this level is already a huge accomplishment and it was a great way for us to end the [school] year."
