ArtPace, “Chalk it up”artists Yvonne, Iridessa, & Amilia completed their chalk art.
ARTIST STATEMENT: Our artwork is a bridge between the past and the future of art. We honor the masters who came before us and use their art as inspiration; artists like Mondrian, Van Gogh, Picasso, T. Hatfield and Vermeer along with musicians, theatre performers, and fashion designers. Their creativity, ideas, and style shaped the history of art and opened the doors for future generations of artists like us. As we enter a new era, we built on what we have learned from the past to create new forms of expression. Today, art expands into virtual reality, digital worlds, and video games. Design, sculptures, murals, and digital creations using modern technology, while still carrying the symbols, stories and beauty of the past.
Art now goes beyond the paper and canvas . It lets us build worlds, explore our imaginations, and share our voices with others. Our work honors where art began and shows where it is going. Is a journey of creativity, culture, and endless possibilities for today’s artists and those who will come after us.
